How to delegate video creation internally for Communication Directors

Yes, videos are big, important projects. But that’s the very reason you need to delegate them. As the communication director, you have so much on your plate, you can’t give a video the attention it needs.

So pick a staff member that you trust to be your video manager. They don’t need to have any background in video or social media. There are just a few things that they will need to know from you to create successful videos.

1. Clearly outline the goals of your department.

2. Write a few measurable guidelines to define the success of your videos.

3. Give them a budget.

4. Let them know if you have any ideas or things that you would like to be in the video.

5. Establish checkpoints.

6. Trust them.
