How to Spread Excitement to Your Audience

I got really excited about a pen. Honest, I’m not crazy. One of my client wanted a video promoting a web store that he had designed for pens and other promotional products. As we talked through the best way to create his video, I was amazed at how much easier the web store would make other people’s lives, and how much good it would do. I got excited about his product, and so did he. His video wound up being dynamite, because we ultimately communicated that excitement and conviction to his audience.

#ProTip: If you’re not excited, your audience won’t be either.

Video “runs” on emotion. In the planning process, you have to dig down deep and pull out those feelings of conviction, excitement, admiration, and pride in what you do. If you can’t dig the feelings up, find someone who can. Emotion is contagious, but the only way to spread it to your audience, and prompt action, is to start by experiencing it yourself.
