Finding the “Why” of the Milk Bank

Premature and fragile infants have a 75% greater chance of survival when given breastmilk, so The Milk Bank in Indianapolis aims to connect these babies with milk from generous donors. We wanted to find the most impactful way to share their incredible mission, so we turned to the staff. In our experience, people who work at nonprofits are there because they have a very personal connection to the mission. This proved true. Jaime, their dynamite lab director, herself experienced the trauma of having her now-healthy daughter in NICU. Her personal story catapulted the story of The Milk Bank to a whole new level that the audience connected with in a big way.
