The Anxiety of Life – Fulton Sheen Timeless Wisdom

How do we cure the “anxiety of life” – that feeling of futility that sometimes haunts us? Fulton Sheen, a master theologian and TV personality, proposes a remedy. He says we should help other people: volunteer, visit, be kind to, and serve those most in need.

The video release comes as the “Year of Mercy” draws to a close, a Catholic celebration that reminds us to help our neighbor by feeding the hungry, visiting the sick, clothing the naked, and serving those in need. Organizations are welcome to use the video to encourage volunteerism and public service.

This video is the second episode of the “Fulton Sheen Timeless Wisdom” project. The audio is part of “Philosophy of Life” from the Fulton Sheen’s lessons on the Catholic Catechism. Listen to the whole talk at www.fultonsheen.com

Fulton Sheen, a teacher renowned for his clear explanations and deep insight, delivered hundreds of talks between the years 1950 and 1979. The “Fulton Sheen Timeless Wisdom” project attempts to bring his words to life for the internet age, illustrating segments of these lessons for a broad audience. Thing in a Pot Productions is happy to partner with Anthony Buono of FultonSheen.com to deliver a taste of Sheen’s wisdom.
