Essential Choices Before Livestreaming
For all those who joined me during our webinar, “Leverage Livestreaming for Your Event,” thank you! I hope you felt your time was well-spent. As a refresher, and for those who missed it, I’m going to go over some of the key points in this Pro Tips blog for the next few months. As I outlined, before you livestream an event, there are four essential choices to make. Ideally you should make these decisions at least four weeks in advance.
#ProTip: Before livestreaming, choose your budget, type, platform, and what is on camera.
Before livestreaming your event, you first need to choose your livestreaming budget, meaning, how much do you plan to invest in the livestream (not counting other event expenses). Secondly, choose your type - is this an online-only broadcast, with only a digital audience, or a hybrid event, with an in-person audience plus a digital audience? Next, choose which platform to stream to, for example, Facebook, YouTube or Zoom. And finally, you will want to plan out, in as much detail as you can, what will be seen and heard on camera. I’ll dive into these choices more in future posts, but for now, get those ideas stirring. Make those four choices and you will be will on your way to dynamic, successful livestream.
