How a nonprofit communications director keeps content turning on social media

It seems like the social media beast keeps demanding more of us Catholic communicators. Now only do we need to be putting out regular content, now we need to stand out and share authentic truth in channels crowded by AI-slop. Oh, and field all the spam and scams, too.

You may be part of a small communication team, or may be all alone in the communications "department."

So is Katherine Szepieniec. She's a part-time department of one. Yet as the Communications Director for Elevate Life, which provides critical support to over 50 pregnancy resource centers, she still manages to keep high-quality content continually posted to their social media channels. How does she do it?

We asked Katherine how she "feeds the beast" with limited time and budget. Her two-part answer was simple yet brilliant: 1. Plan and, 2. Use your resources. Then she shared what that looks like in a small-but-mighty organization

Katherine was the project manager for the Elevate Life 50th Anniversary video.
