How I'm beating overwhelm, burnout and discouragement as a Catholic communicator
Being completely honest, it’s been a tough year to be a Catholic communicator.
On one hand, the dizzying changes, fears and challenges brought on by AI have literally kept me awake at night and made me feel profoundly insufficient and stupid.
On the other hand, we’re in a period of incredible financial instability for nonprofits, which has me asking if it’s all worth it.
And then there’s those seemingly-increasing moments of darkness, like the school shooting at a Catholic school right here in Minneapolis, which brings on the question of when, and if, God is ever going to break through.
Here’s what God has been saying to me, often through other people much wiser than I. I hope these thoughts help you break through the overwhelm and discouragement, too.
